DigiBadge는 오타쿠 문화에서 영감을 받아 제작한 일종의 디지털 굿즈로, 휴대할 수 있는 캔뱃지 형태의 제품과 캐릭터의 집이자 제품을 거치할 수 있는 플랫폼 기기로 구성되어 있다. 사용자는 자신이 좋아하는 캐릭터를 제품에 넣어 가방 등에 장식하거나 휴대하여 들고다닐 수 있고, 터치 등의 인터렉션을 통해 캐릭터와 상호작용을 할 수도 있다. 플랫폼 기기에서는 제품을 거치하여 충전시킬 수 있고, 캐릭터가 넓은 화면으로 나와 춤을 추거나 인사를 하는 등, 여러 모션을 취하는 것을 관람하며 즐길 수 있다.
DigiBadge is a type of digital goods inspired from Japanese-otaku culture. It consists of a portable, can-badge-shaped device and a platform unit that serves as both the character’s “home” and a docking station for the product. Users can display their favorite characters by attaching the device to a bag or carrying it with them, and they can interact with the character through touch-based interactions. When docked on the platform device, the product can be charged, and users can enjoy watching the character appear on a larger screen, performing various motions such as dancing or greeting the user.
