“일상의 루틴을 감각적 실험으로 확장하다.”
본 프로젝트는 자동화된 커피 환경 속에서 소외된 사용자의 감각을 다시 일상으로 회복시키기 위한 브루잉 커피머신이다. 평일에는 원두 태깅만으로 자동 추출이 이루어져 바쁜 일상에서도 안정적인 루틴을 형성하고, 주말에는 드리퍼·서버·저울을 분리해 수동 브루잉과 실험적 추출에 몰입할 수 있도록 설계했다.
머신은 사용자의 추출 과정을 자동으로 기록하고, 맛 입력을 기반으로 오차와 원인의 관계를 시각적 피드백으로 제공함으로써 감각과 추출 조건 간의 인과를 학습하게 한다. 이를 통해 본 프로젝트는 자동과 수동, 루틴과 실험, 기록과 몰입 사이의 균형을 조율하는 감각적 일상 장치로서 새로운 커피 경험을 제안한다.

“Extending everyday routines into sensory experimentation.”
This project presents a brewing coffee machine that restores sensory engagement within automated coffee routines. On weekdays, simple bean tagging enables automatic extraction for a stable daily rhythm, while on weekends the dripper, server, and scale can be separated for manual brewing and experimentation.
By recording the brewing process and providing visual feedback based on taste input, the machine helps users understand the relationship between sensory perception and extraction conditions, balancing routine and exploration in everyday coffee making.
