‘Great Trip is a music-video-style animated work that follows Elina Koontz as she leaves graduate school after experiencing emotional harassment and isolation, and moves to a mysterious research institute. Using the rhythm of music and imagery, the animation depicts her anticipation toward a new environment alongside the anxiety of stepping away from a familiar sense of safety. This transition is portrayed through hallucinatory scenes at the uncanny club Drugonfly, where dream and reality begin to blur.
